Trainee Sales Executive – No prior experience required

We’re Office Equipment Systems (OES), an award-winning, privately owned business providing a range of professional IT, print and web design services to businesses across the UK, and we’re building a sales team and want you to be a part of it.

With no prior experience required, this is your opportunity to kickstart a successful sales career, benefitting from a 12-month hands-on training programme with top tips and advice from industry experts as you learn the ropes.

I like the sound of that – what does this Trainee Sales Executive role entail?

From day one you’ll be enrolled onto a comprehensive training programme that will see you receive a mix of internal and external training experiences that will take you from raw and inexperienced to a sales superstar and customer service extraordinaire in no time.

Working from our offices in Denbigh that have recently had a lot of investment, you’ll be shown the ropes, how to identify and generate leads from social media, foot canvasing, cold calling and email, how to follow them up, and how to close a sale.

You’ll be travelling to London over the course of the year to benefit from different training experiences, delivered by industry experts from across the UK. After successful completion of your first 3 months and following a successful performance review, you’ll receive a company car (for both business and personal use) to use to travel to appointments across North Wales and the North West, so that you look and sound the part when delivering a fantastic customer service.

You’ll be joined by a number of other people in a similar position to you, so you’ll go through this programme together, hopefully making friends for life along the way.

Great – what will I need to be considered for this Trainee Sales Executive vacancy?

First and foremost, you need to be ambitious and hungry for success – you’ve got to want things!  You may be early in your career, this could very well be your first ever job, but you’ll need to show us that you’ve got that drive to succeed and to see things through to completion.

No prior sales experience is necessary; however, you will need the following:

  • Full UK driving licence (to travel to appointments)
  • Smart in appearance
  • Ability to think on your feet
  • Good communication skills

What will I receive in return?

As a Trainee Sales Executive, you’ll receive a starting salary of £16,000 plus commission and bonus, with genuine on target earnings (OTE) in your first year in the region of £26,000.

After successful completion of your first 3 months and following a successful performance review, you’ll also receive a company car (for both business and personal use). We offer 20 days holidays plus bank holidays rising incrementally to a maximum of 30 days, and free parking.

You’ll be joining a growing business with a happy and fulfilling work environment and big plans in the pipeline, where you’ll be provided with continuous personal development support, and have the opportunity to be a key part of its ongoing success, with genuine scope for career progression.

Your Trainee Programme will start on October the 2nd. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm from our offices in Denbigh (North Wales), on a permanent contract. Depending on your location, the option for remote working may become available as you progress further into the Trainee Programme.
