After weeks of planning the OES team and Hospice at Home met up in the early hours of Friday morning to take on the highest mountain in Wales.
After a short briefing off Wayne, we all set off up the Pyg track from the Pen-y-Pass car park. The 7 mile round trip which included 2,777ft of ascent to the top took just under 3 hours. We saw some beautiful views on the way up, but unfortunately cloud cover at the summit prevented views across the national park.
To complete the day we were rewarded with a much needed lunch at Petes Eats in llanberis. So far we have raised £2,426.00 but are still accepting donations via our just giving page.
You can view the pictures from the day in our Facebook Gallery
We really appreciate all your support and thank you for all your donations.
