On Friday 13th October 2017, OES and Hospice At Home will be setting off in the early hours to climb 2,372 feet (723 metres) to the summit of Wales tallest mountain.
We plan to follow the Miner Track which starts gradually, passing Llyn Teyrn to Llyn Llydaw then climbs steeply to Llyn Glaslyn. The hard climb continues upwards over scree where it joins the Pyg track and zigzags up to Bwlch Glas, and then on to the summit.
This strenuous 8mile (13km) round trip should take 6-7 hours and will require stamina and determination from the whole team. Walking in the early hours will also add to the challenge with little light to start off with.
On reaching the top, we hope to be rewarded with spectacular views across the unspoilt Snowdonia landscape. We will then return to base and refuel with a well-earnt lunch!
We are encouraging Friends, Family & Clients to join us on the walk or donate via the JustGiving link below. All proceeds will help people across North Wales by raising money for Hospice at Home.
If you would like to join us on the walk, please register by calling 01745 816473 (option 4)
